Description

A lovely extending dining table and chair set. We date this table and chair set to the late 20th century.

The table sits on four bulbous reeded legs above brass castors and winds out to add the two leaves (winder is supplied). The table could sit another two to four chairs when extended.

The table has a height of 30" (77cm), a length of 58" (148cm) a depth of 49" (125cm), the length with the leaves added is 95.5” (243cm)

The chairs sit on matching bulbous reeded legs at the front and slightly splayed square section legs to the rear. The chairs have attractive carved backrests with a serpentine shaped front, the centre splat and seat pad are padded and upholstered in a blue and wine coloured fabric with a braided edge.

The chairs are 36" (91cm) high with a backrest height of 18" (46cm), a seat height of 17.5" (45cm), a seat width of 19" (49cm) and a seat depth of 15.5" (40cm).

This lovely mahogany dining table and chair set remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The table top has some minor indentation lines and a little bit of wear to some of the edges. The table top has a couple of lighter marks and there is a small hole to one of the seat pads. The material has a few usage marks from past use.

This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany dining table and chair set. They will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
