Description

An unusual Canted 18th century dutch colonial chest constructed from camphor wood and decorated with carved out silhouette images (possibly religious iconography) and traces of pen work in areas.
The chest has a lid which opens to reveal a large storage interior and below are two deep drawers, locks are all present but unfortunately the keys have been long lost. The chest is in excellent condition and has a fabulous colour and patina ,and also being constructed from camphor wood, its a naturel repelant to moths which makes it a perfect piece for storing precious fabrics or garments.
