A 19th century Indo persian shield / Dhal.

Description
A 19th century Indo persian Dhal, of decorative form, depicting lions and elephants and people with elaborate fretted floral decoration. The body of the shield is made from brass and was originally gilded in gold, with traces of gold around the padding of the handle on the back.Overall the shield is in good condition, with one of the fabric handles having a break.
