Description
A 17th century marble statue depicting a female figure holding a bird, possibly Venus.The statue is in lovely condition and is nicely weathered, it has suffered some losses commensurate with age, and the head is currently detachable but has been pinned with an iron pin at some stage.
Provanance - Previously acquired from Lady Manton, of Houghton Hall , near Market Weighton.
