Description

A high quality set of six gilt carved French dining chairs, with original Aubusson tapestry upholstery.
The chairs are finely carved and gilded having arcaded backs with finials, the shaped fronts supported by egg and dart conical turned legs and having plain square legs that sweep out almost forming a sabre.
The Aubusson tapestry has a few minor rips and the seats are in good usable order for their age, two of the chairs have some slight play in their frames with the usual ware to the gilding and some minor losses to the carvings, and the backs requiring some recovering.
These are a fantastic set of country house chairs and are in original untouched condition.
