Description

A late 19th century French slate and green veined marble mantel clock by Japy Freres. The clock has an eight-day mechanical movement which has been fully serviced and is in full working condition. It has strike mechanism which strikes on a bell on the hour and half hour. The dial is gloss black with gilt Roman numerals surrounded by glazed brass bezelled hinged door. NB The slate case does have a few chips, please see the images. circa 1880 JW-22
