Description

A French eight-day slate mantel clock. Manufactured by the Parisian clock-maker Henry Marc's workshop. The mechanical movement has been fully serviced and is in full working condition. The dial is white enamel with black Roman numerals and has a brass bezel holding a beveled glass to the front. The back of the case has an open hinged door to access the movement, at some point this would also have been glazed. The clock case is predominately black slate however it has had a replacement ebonised wooden top fitted at some-point in its history. circa 1880 JW-16
