Description

A highly unusual oak Fisherman's corner hall chair, which has a pair of expertly carved fish to either side of the seat. The armed chair is supported with turned bobbins throughout and a crossover stretcher to the base. To the back of the chair it is carved with more mythical fish and the initials of F.C.M. The seat is upholstered in a brown dralon fabric. circa 1910 A nice solid chair and very decorative. We bought this along with a wonderful carved stone arch which featured yet more fish from a local fisherman who told us it once belonged to a fisherman from Cromer in Norfolk which is famous for it's crabs.
