Description

This is a superb antique walnut drop dial American wall clock by The Caledonian Clock Company. It has some beautiful inlays decorating the case with a twin scroll design towards the bottom. It has its original 8-day striking mechanical movement which has been fully overhauled and is in full working condition. The case is of high quality and inlaid throughout. The fine tunbridgeware inlays are fantastic and are very fine. The case has its original hinged front door which has a nice wooden fretwork design and backed with a rich burgundy fabric, this hinges open to reveal access to the dial, pendulum and mirrored back. The white dial has been replaced with a new face. circa 1890. ST-72
