Description

A rare Air Ministry wooden propeller hub with an inset Bakelite military mechanical clock. This unique piece is formed of a single wooden hub which has been attached to a solid oak base. On either end of the hub is an engraving, one of the Royal Air Force badge and on the other side is the German Empire Coat of Arms from 1871-1918. The mechanical clock is an original Air Ministry Bakelite clock from which we understand came from either a Spitfire or a Lancaster plane. The clock is in working order however it does run fast and gains in time. A superb decorative piece.
