Description

A stunning 19th century mahogany cased longcase clock. This piece has been beautifully made using the finest flame mahogany panels with inset boxwood stringing throughout. The hood of the clock features a nice high broken arched pediment with turned columns either side of the face. The dial of the clock is quite unusual in it's self as it has a concave circular section which is surrounded by hand painted scenes of castles. The dial is off white with black Roman numerals. The date wheel is for decoration purposes only. The clock has an 8-day mechanical movement which has been fully serviced and is in full working condition. circa 1840
