An exceptional large and impressive Victorian English sterling silver fruit basket This fine antique Victorian sterling silver swing handled basket has a circular shaped form onto a swept and shaped, pedestal foot. The basket has a plain central well with bright cut engraved decorated sides of swags and bows to the eight panels. The applied scroll edge decorated, shaped rim is further embellished with naturalistic forms. This fine basket is fitted with the original hallmarked pierced decorated leaf and scroll ornamented handle. Approx 900g Hallmarked London 1846, maker Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater
