Description

A delightful early 20th century mahogany bracket clock of Continental manufacture by Mueller and Kern of Silesia. The eight-day triple train mechanical movement strikes on the hours on a coiled gong and chimes on the quarters on a graduated nest of eight bells. This has been fully serviced and is in full working condition. The dial is silvered brass with black Roman numerals and finely engraved floral designs throughout. The mahogany case has an open wooden fretwork gallery to the top with finials to the corners. To either side of the case are fine turned columns. The sides and back of the case have Gothic arched blind fretwork. Please note some historical damage to the fretwork but not that it detracts from this wonderful piece. circa 1900-1910
