Description

A fine French slate mantel clock. This clock having unusually been commissioned in a brown slate is believed to have been presented to the workers of an industrial business in England in the late 19th century. circa 1850. The dial has an exposed escapement with a white enamelled dial and black Roman numerals. The eight -day mechanical movement which strikes on a bell has been fully serviced and is in full working order. Please note that the slate has old repairs in two sections as per the images. JW-33
