Karl Jakob van Beekum (1914 - 1998)

A very well executed oil painting by well known Dutch artist Karl Jakob van Beekum. The picture depicts a canal and town scene of what is possibly the ancient university city of Leiden in Holland. van Beekum uses an impressionist style to convey the life of the town through the medium of the bargee on his longboat going about his business along the canal.

ARTIST INFORMATION
Karl Jakob van Beekum was born in Rotterdam in 1914 and was a well known and respected artist in his native Holland. As well as his paintings van Beekum was aslo a sculptor of repute and a mosaic artist. Much of his exhibited works are pieces that were commissioned by city councils to adorn public buildings and spaces. His paintings feature archetypal Dutch vistas including canals, windmills and polders.

Orders to the UK mainland are sent using insured courier service or appropriate Royal Mail service. Orders to the rest of the World are sent promptly via signed for courier service. Unless stated prices exclude shipping costs.

RETURNS POLICY
We offer a 14 day returns policy and money back guarantee on all items (excluding postage costs) should they be found to be not as described. Additionally White Court Art fully guarantees for a period of 1 year from the date of sale our descriptions relating to age and medium. Our warranty will only apply to the original buyers as named on our invoice issued at date of sale.
