Description
A wonderful example of an early Welsh family bible, with most attractive leather binding. Known as a Peter Williams bible, it was the first bible to be both written in Welsh and printed in Wales, this example being printed in 1807.In remarkably good condition given age and use, retaining one original clasp.
It features hand written notes on the inside cover relating to the Jones family of Caemawr Cilcennin in Cardiganshire.
