A beautiful traditional Pembrokeshire Sled foot Box Settle of rare small size purchased from a stunning period cottage in Mathry.
At just 4ft 2” long this gorgeous little settle is the sweetest thing. Of highly desirable Pembrokeshire high back type these iconic Welsh sgiws were to be originally found in cottages, taverns and farmhouses often in the kitchen or beside the fireplace.
Ever so comfy and small enough to work in any room this is a very special example indeed. Strong and sturdy with fabulous warm and nutty colour true to age. Small settles like this one are incredibly hard to find especially as pretty as this one and in such beautiful condition and are something we are asked for all the time.
