SUPERB ANTIQUE WALNUT DESK WITH MATCHING CHAIR

This is an exceptional antique desk

It was made in Mechelen in the late 19th century for the house of a wealthy Doctor

The dining suite and cocktail cabinet we have listed came from the same home , and is all mansion house quality

It has a wonderful veneered top and stands on long elegant legs

There are 3 drawers at the front and it is arched for the seated person

The desk retains its original keys and has brass escutcheons

There is a matching chair also in walnut

The desk is in excellent order though the polish does have some age related blooming, nothing to worry about

The exterior of the desk is beautifully carved , and there is a large single drawer goes all the way through
