An absolutely superb old pictorial Turkish hall runner

It was likely that this runner is actually the top carpet of the traditional 4 carpet layout

This comprised of a larger central carpet and a narrow one at each side , with another narrow carpet at the top

Its a beautiful example and dates from the turn of the century

For an imaginative interior design statement it would also look fantastic wall mounted above an open doorway or arch

A detailed central field and beautifully crafted in all aspects

The carpet is 100% pure wool very durable and suitable for heavy traffic

The edges are bound and the fringe is an integral part of the backing
