Antique Chester silver vesta featuring a bright cut floral design and vacant shield shape cartouche.

The vesta is fully hallmarked to the main body for Chester 1897, and the maker Robert Pringle & Sons. There is also a partial set of marks to the lid.
All hallmarks are crisp and clear.

Robert Pringle and Sons were based in Clerkenwell Road, London EC1.

The vesta is 3.4 cm (1.3") wide (excluding the suspension ring) by 4.2 cm (1.7") high by .8 cm (.4") thick. It weighs 18 grams.
All measurements are approximate.

The vesta is in good condition for its age. There are a few dings to the edges and to the top. The lid does not snap shut, but does remain firm wherever placed.
