Description

This Newcastle assayed tea spoon was made by John Langlands II. The spoon's finial has been monogrammed.

The spoon carries the hallmarks for John, the George III head duty mark, the lion standard silver mark and the Newcastle town mark.
There is no date mark … John Langlands II was active as a silversmith between 1793 until his death in 1804.

The spoon is in reasonable condition. There is normal age related surface scratching, and the bowl is slightly misshapen and the top of the finial shows some roughness.

The spoon measures 13.2 cm (5.2") long, and weighs 12g.
All measurements are approximate.

Please see photos as these form an important part of the description.
