Listed artist Salvatore Azzu
Salvatore Azzù was a painter originally from Sassari, born in 1924 and died in 2004. Friend and colleague of Costantino Spada, unlike the other great Sassari painter his training was self-taught. His works are present in various public and private collections. In his long career he has participated in numerous national and regional competitions obtaining the favorable interest of many critics and collectors.
