Description

A stunning George II breakfront mahogany tea table in fine original condition, circa 1750. With a top of rectangular form, having a single frieze drawer bearing its original pierced brass handle, it is supported on four cabriole legs carved with acanthus leaves and ending in ball and claw feet.
The fold-over top opens up and is supported on a back leg which swings out. Made from dense Cuban mahogany, the carving at the top of the legs is a particularly attractive feature. It would make a lovely side table for a reception room.
