Description

This is a wonderful mid 18th Century rectangular mahogany tea caddy with original brassware and a working Georgian key, possessing a rich colour and patina. What makes this tea caddy particularly interesting and standout from similar period boxes is its secret drawer. One side of the tea caddy lifts up to reveal an oak drawer with a brass knob. Its so cleverly disguised that even on close inspection it is a real challenge to find.

Dimensions:
Width 9 1/4" (23.5 cm)
Depth 5 3/4" (15 cm)
Height 6" (15 cm)

Condition: The tea caddy is in very good condition with the exception of the interior compartmentalisation which is missing. This does confer an advantage in that the box is more useful for storage.
