Waltham silver pocket watch, 1930.

The watch has a 7 jewel grade 610 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 27,138,650 which dates it back to around 1930.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is engraved on behalf of ICI for the long service of an employee.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1937 with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, the manufacturer of most of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in lovely condition.

The movement and case are not original to each other although the case would have originally been for a Waltham movement.

The glass lens has minor marking but not too detrimental at all.

The signed dial is in lovely condition, blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
