Antique silver Waltham pocket watch, 1912.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, Traveler grade, which is working well. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 18,775,075 which dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which was originally silver plated but most of the plate has worn off this inner cover.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is .800 silver and there are Continental .800 silver marks inside the hinged case back together with the small scratched initials MHM. The case is in nice condition with only a couple of small “dings” to the back. Nice crisp engine turned detail to the hinged case back and a vacant cartouche.

The movement and case are probably not original to each other but are of the same period.

The glass lens is in nice condition with just a few minor marks, nothing too serious at all.

The signed double sunk dial is in good condition, just a faint 3mm hairline at 3 o'clock but it is difficult to see with the naked eye. Original gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

Due to Customs regulations, we are unable to send watches / precious metals to certain countries. If you are unsure about your country’s regulations, please contact us and we can check for you. Any orders from prohibited countries will be refunded, less any Paypal fees which are non-refundable.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.

We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
