A beautiful 9 carat yellow gold pendant locket suspended from an 18 inch 9ct gold necklace.

This antique locket was assayed (tested for gold purity) at Birmingham Assay Office in 1907.

The shield shape of this antique conveys the desire to protect.

The anterior surface is decorated with a scroll shaped cartouche, ivy leaves and a forget-me-not flower.

The posterior side is also adorned with ivy leaves.

Forget-me-not flowers express the feelings of deep love and respect.

Ivy leaves convey strong bonds, fidelity, loyalty and devotion.

Scrolls symbolise wisdom.

The interior compartments are fitted with the liners and a portrait protectors.

This antique pendant is suitable to hold two photographs, locks of hair or miniature portraits.

All clasps and hinges work perfectly.
