Description

An ornate fully hallmarked 9 carat gold Edwardian keepsake locket which was assayed (tested for gold purity) at Birmingham Assay Office in 1907. The locket is suspended from an elegant 9 carat gold 18 inch necklace. Both sides of the locket are engraved with ivy leaves which symbolise fidelity, deep friendship and eternal life. The outer edges of the locket are embellished with embossed forget-me-not flowers which represent deep love and respect.

The interior fitted with the original frames and pale green moire linings and so photographs or locks of hair will be easy to attach.

The catch and hinge work perfectly.
