This wonderful antique locket is ornamented with acanthus leaves and floral motifs. The acanthus leaf symbolizes the desire for enduring life and immortality. The shield shaped cartouche represents the desire of the donor to protect the recipient. The locket and necklace are in superb condition. The original frames are present. The interior can accommodate two portraits or photographs. All catches and hinges work perfectly.
