A delightfully pretty fully hallmarked 9ct gold Chester assayed locket in super condition. Both sides are ornately engraved with deeply symbolic motifs which convey the most romantic message. The shield represents the desire of the donor to protect the recipient. A garland of forget-me-nots frames the shield. The back of the locket is adorned with ivy leaves. Ivy symbolises everlasting love, deep friendship, fidelity and wedded bliss. This piece was crafted by Albert E. Jones. All catches and hinges work perfectly. The interior case can accommodate two photographs or portraits.
