A beautiful antique hallmarked gold locket which was assayed in Birmingham in 1906. This delightful antique is presented in a pristine jewellery case with an ornate 20 inch necklace. The front is adorned with forget-me-nots. The back is decorated with highly symbolic ivy leaves. Ivy represents everlasting love, deep friendship, fidelity or wedded bliss. The catch and hinge work perfectly. The interior case is suitable for two photographs. The right hand side has the original frame. The case is stamped with a full set of hallmarks. The maker's mark T H followed 9 and 375 (9 carat gold), the anchor representing Birmingham Assay Office and the date letter g (1906). The locket and necklace are in excellent condition.
