A hard to find unused silver plated Stratton powder compact. The whole lid is adorned with finely engraved satinized decorations which catch the light and it really is mesmerising. The compact has not been used. It is suitable for use with loose and compressed face powder. Standard size powder pans measuring 67 mm will fit well. These include Max Factor Creme Puff, Rimmel Stay Matte, Constance Carroll and Miss Beauty. This scarce Stratton 'Slim Convertible' handbag mirror comes with the original features - the presentation box, felt lined pouch, instruction leaflet, signed silk and fabric puff and a beautifully stitched velour edge sifter. Please note that on image three the red letters of the instruction leaflet are reflecting on the interior mirror bezel / frame. The mirror gives a super clear reflection. The base is decorated with silver stars and signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND'. This item is so well made it will never tarnish or need to be cleaned. Measures 3 1/4" and weighs 102.7 grams.
