A stunning Chester assayed fully hallmarked locket which dates to 1919. The whole piece is in superb condition. The rose gold is absolutely captivating. The front is embellished with the most enchanting scrollwork and a shield, which symbolises the desire to defend the recipient. The back is just as charming - a single ivy leaf just above a full set of hallmarks, which represents everlasting love, deep friendship, fidelity, or wedded bliss. Above and around the ivy leaf is a absolutely stunning scrollwork forming highly stylized foliate and just below the original bale is the most gorgeous lily. Lilies been known to represent innocence and purity since ancient times. The interior contains two recesses for holding photographs. This antique is so beautiful that it also makes a stunning pendant. We have included a 50 cm vermeil necklace so that this adorable locket can be worn immediately. The locket is sound in every way and closes securely.
