A splendid unused silver and gold plated Stratton compact and lipstick tube set which was made in the 1960s. The exterior cases are decorated with diamond cut incised stylized gilt petal shapes and the silver plate has the most gorgeous satin finish. The set is gleaming clean and much more beautiful than the images show. Image two shows the finish on this set. The compact being large and flat picks up too many reflections to show the true beauty in these images. Image one and three are dull over head shots and so you can not see the gorgeous satin finish. The luxurious embroidered presentation case, leaflets, both black pouches, silk topped puff and velour edged sifter are present. The presentation case is also a jewellery case. The compact is suitable for loose and compressed face powder. This Stratton Slim Convertible powder compact measures 3 1/4 inches (8.2 cm) diameter and weighs 103 grams. The Lipstick Holder measures almost 2 1/4 inches (5.7 cm) and weighs 10.4 grams.
