Description

A Stratton ballet powder compact case. This 1960s vanity has an enamel lid depicting a ballet scene. It is suitable for loose and pressed face powder. This Stratton 'Slim Convertible' is in good condition. It is clean and free of any powder residue. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The mirror bezel is signed 'STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND'. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The sifter is present and so this compact can be used with loose face powder or with pressed powder pans measuring 65 - 67 mm. The enamel lid has one tiny pin prick of enamel loss which can only be seen as the compact is tilted to and fro in the light. This is reflected in the price. The base has an unusual engine turned design. Measures 3 1/4" and weighs 101.2 grams.
