A gleaming gilt 1950s Stratton loose powder compact. This very beautiful mid-century vanity is in first rate condition. The lid is decorated with an embossed stylized leaf design. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror is excellent & gives a good clear reflection. The original sifter is in place which means this compact may still be used with loose face powder. It is also suitable as a handbag mirror. The base is decorated with stars. Measures almost 2 3/4" & weighs 79 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
