This high quality engraved vanity was made in the 1950s and assayed in Florence. The lid and base are decorated with bright-cut engraving which feature ornate scroll work and pretty flower baskets. The compact is slender (4 mm deep) and elegant. The original sifter and an immaculate velvet drawstring pouch are included. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The mirror bezel and powder well are hallmarked with the maker's mark and the 800 silver stamp. Measures 2 1/2" x just over 2 1/2" and weighs 57.2 grams.
