An unused 1950s mother of pearl vanity set which would make an ideal pearl wedding anniversary gift. The set is in excellent condition. The brass was lacquered during the crafting of this vanity and so it will not need to be cleaned nor will it tarnish. Both items are decorated with eye-catching iridescent mother of pearl. The compact is suitable for loose face powder. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. The original presentation case, puff, sifter are included. The lipstick mechanism works exactly as it should. The case is lined with pale pink silk and crimson velvet. The exterior case is clad in synthetic material made to look like snake skin. The compact measures almost 3" and weighs 87.9 grams. The lipstick holder weighs 27 grams and measures slightly over 2".
