A fully hallmarked solid silver compact mirror with the initials F M O inscribed on a rectangular cartouche. This excellent sterling silver compact mirror was made by J Gloster and assayed at Birmingham in 1921. The lid and base are decorated with guilloche engraving. A double thumb catch ensures ease of opening. The hinge and catch work perfectly. The mirror gives a perfectly clear and accurate reflection. Measures 7 cm x 6.7 cm and weighs 92.6 grams.
