A gleaming mid-century refillable Stratton loose powder compact. This compact mirror is suitable for all loose face powder. The brass is a deep golden colour and the whole item is in superb condition. This model is known as the 'Rondette' and it is a slender elegant accessory. The gorgeous high quality lacquered brass will never tarnish or need to be cleaned. The lid is decorated with a finely engraved spiral and a circular cartouche. The interior lid is signed 'Stratton'. This vanity is fitted with the patented self-opening inner lid. This opens when the mirror lid is tilted slightly backwards. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. The base is decorated with bands of golden stars . The compact and sifter gauze are clean and ready to use. Measures 2 7/8" in diameter and weighs 84 grams.
