An attractive 1950s Stratton 'Convertible' powder compact which is suitable for use with modern compressed face powder. The lid is decorated with golden enamel which has been satinized. In the middle is a gilt motif. This item is in super condition. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The mirror is excellent and gives a clear, accurate reflection. The mirror bezel is signed 'STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND'. The powder well is protected by a layer of white enamel. The base is decorated with the all over star design. This convertible powder compact is suitable for pressed face powders or as a handbag mirror. This vintage Stratton powder compact measures 3" and weighs 96.6 grams.
