A glorious 1970s gilt Stratton ' Mini-Convertible ' that has never been used. The textured golden enamel on the lid ensures this vintage accessory will get a second glance. The compact is in superb condition - gleaming & clean. It will never tarnish or need to be cleaned as it was coated at the point of manufacture with a layer of lacquer. The charming lid lifts to reveal an excellent mirror which gives a clear & accurate reflection. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The base has the familiar Stratton design of the oblong cartouche which contains the signature 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND', around the cartouche circular bands of smooth gold tone stars. This vintage powder compact measures 3 " & weighs 73.1 grams. There isn't any loss of design. The photographs really do not capture the beauty of this stylish accessory.
