For sale today we have this superb stoneware Art Union of London vase by Eliza Simmance for Doulton Lambeth. A striking twin handled piece, this vase features delicate pate sur pate prunus blossom to the body, with sharply incised geometric fans above, below, and to the lid. Finished off with 2 highly ornate scrolling handles with leaf terminals. Probably Eliza Simmance's most recognisable design from the peak of her Victorian period, and highly sought after.
Stands an impressive 12" tall x 8" across. Stamped Doulton Lambeth mark with England. Incised ES 418 mark with assistant R as shown.
A wonderful, elegant vase presented for sale in excellent condition, no damage and no repair whatsoever. There is a shallow firing line to the underside of the foot rim from manufacture (not seen). A great addition to your collection!
