Description

A lovely, practical example of an Edwardian, solid sterling silver-mounted conductor's baton.

All three pieces of silver are hallmarked for London 1904, with the maker's mark of Ebenezer Newman & Co. The baton has been used - there are marks where it has been struck against the music stand - but there are no engravings on the cartouche. The floral decorations on the silver are crisp. There are a couple of small knocks to the silver on the handle, but no more than would be expected from a baton of this age.

It is 45cm / 18inches in length.
