This firescreen is part of a superb quality four piece oak bedroom suite attributed to Maple & Co of London and dating to the late 19th/early 20th century. In golden quarter-sawn oak this beautiful suite features egg and dart mouldings with fluting and floral emblems to the cornices, further bead and reel mouldings and panelling to the sides whilst the wardrobe and dressing chest drawers have repousse handles & backplates depicting stylised opened tulips with stamens.

This firescreen is utterly charming with a depiction of a firesurround and fire complete with linen fold panelling and fireside tools, it is also in excellent condition.
