Description

This beautiful and quite rare gold thimble has an applied band of leaves and a memento mori inscription on the rim. It reads " M.C. In memory of J.B. 1853". The cartouche is engraved with a dolphin and the French phrase, "A Viss a Finn" (At the end). The thimble is in pristine condition with no damage or repairs. It comes with a little velvet lined brass case.
