THÉODORE GÉRICAULT FORT born 1810, France.
The son of French court painter Jean-Antoine-Simeon Fort (1793-1861). Theodore Fort debuted at the Paris Salon in 1842. His specialty was equestrian paintings depicting action-packed military scenes and pastoral farm subjects. Fort's works are held in the collections of the Musée de Louviers and Musée Beaux-Arts de Mulhouse in France.
