Description
A beautiful antique Georgian era mourning ringA chunky design with decorative split shoulders and a deeply engraved band, the rich old yellow gold with a slightly rosey aged hue.
This gorgeous ring has a central rectangular shaped panel with a glazed hairwork compartment, enclosing a fine braid of brown hair.
Surrounding the hairwork panel is a halo of creamy white pearls, each varying slightly in shape and tone from warm to blue.
It is unmarked with a closed back locket setting, tests 18ct gold.
A charming antique mourning ring.
English make, early 19th century, Georgian era.
Condition:
Very Good used condition overall, some age commensurate surface wear, evidence of a previous resize only visible on the inner band.
