A fine quality French 8 day Striking Carriage Clock with repeater action
Made by famous Paris maker E.Meurice and retailed by Famous Edinburgh Company Mack & Chizola
The clock will date to c1900, makers name on the movement , retailers name on the clock dial but very faint
Comes with the original carrying case in excellent condition complete with its Leather handle
Clock made from the finest of material and finished in polished brass
Silver colour clock dial with black numerals and blue steel hands
All glass panel are in fine condition no cracks or chip all with bezelled edged
Real quality feel to clock not light and flimsy like modern carriage clocks
Strong folding handle
The clock is working fine and keeping good , striking on the hour and once on the half hour
Press the small repeater button to hear the last hour past strike
Beautiful leather finished case with purple velvet lining and still with front glass and insert panel ,Leather handle still attached , very rear to find this
Press button on the top of the case to hear the last hour without opening the case
With original brass double clock key
Clock does have age marks on the dial and case but all very much in keeping with this lovely original Carriage clock, still looks great for a clock of over 120 years old
Clock size stands 5” tall plus handle , 3.1/2” wide
