A very impressive looking Rams Head Inkwell Stand dated for 1880 and made by fine Sheffield silversmith James Deakin and sons ,2 cut glass inkwells both in excellent condition
with S/P tops which fit firmly to the glass wells, top of Rams head lifts open also metal inkwell pot.
On the front of the stand runs a pen rest which comes with the Dip pen , the plating is overhaul very good and i have not tried to clean preferred to leave it in this natural age colour, The legs and bottom edging are designed with a impressive scrolled feature.
Underneath the inkwell one of the fixing nuts is missing but Rams head still holds very firm
The inkwell main plate does have a bow in it bringing the inkwells closer to the rams head but inkwells still open fine and stand does rock slightly, these do not in anyway detract from this very impressive peace i will post FOC to Uk address
